The Center for High Impact Philanthropy - University of Pennsylvania

The Center for High Impact Philanthropy (CHIP) is a trusted source of knowledge and education to help philanthropy do more good. Founded in 2006 as a collaboration between the School of Social Policy & Practice and alumni of the Wharton School, it is the premier university-based center focused on philanthropy for social impact. Our multidisciplinary team’s work is characterized by a focus on social impact, an approach that leverages the best available information, and a commitment to making our applied research available and actionable for a wide-range of impact-focused funders through our annual High Impact Giving Toolkit and our High Impact Philanthropy Academy.

Giving USA

To create a world where accurate data and objective analyses advance our understanding of philanthropy to inspire generosity by all and for all is the mission of the Giving USA Foundation, founded in 1985 by The Giving Institute. Headquartered in McLean, Virginia, the Foundation publishes data and trends about charitable giving through its seminal publication, Giving USA: The Annual Report on Philanthropy, and quarterly reports on topics related to the field of philanthropy.
